Living What We Preach!

Good afternoon, everyone, I just wanted to post about our recent conversation we had in class on Tuesday and how I can see it reflecting in my own life. To be frank, I had a pretty bad week overall. I was just pretty down in the dumps, lacking motivation and discipline, and not up to par with my schoolwork. However, I woke up this morning and went to go play basketball at the rec with my brother, and that was really refreshing for me. As I sit in Dapper Owl coffee shop off of Rutherford, I have been reflecting on how good of a day I am having today! I also highly recommend Dapper Owl for a great coffee shop to do homework or just relax! In relation to our conversation, I feel the struggle I went through from Monday-Wednesday is making me more grateful for the good day I am now having. I feel I am also able to reflect on the ways in which I can attempt to better my bad days and not have them cast such a shadow on my week. So, thank you to everyone on Tuesday for the conversation we had! I truly love the environment we have cultivated in the conference room and class as a whole, everyone is very welcoming and open! You all have made me appreciate my Thursday much more and I hope we continue to have great conversations about life and happiness! See you all in class!

  1. Coffee does seem to stimulate gratitude and many other positive emotions, for those of us who indulge. It "turns on the light," as Dumbledore put it. I couldn't be the Morning Person I am without it

  2. I can relate, but for me it getting cold has been wearing on me already.
Keep up the momentum into tomorrow and the day after etc: one of my only reprieves from harder times is the gym honestly, lol. Especially if I'm lethargic or fatigued, paradoxically exercise clears my mind and gives me energy.
