Just watched a strange but provocative TEDx Talk ("flagged because it falls outside content guidelines"), inspired by the speaker's discovery of Happiness Beyond Thought...
What do you think? (I think he gratuitously disses science and atheism, but still has interesting observations about mind, ego, self, etc.)
"...so one day I'm sitting there dealing with the Internet ... but instead of throwing my computer across the room and jumping up and down on it I go for a walk... and then it happened all my thoughts disappeared just gone it was exquisite and it happens more and more often the more that I practice..."
He says it was the sanskrit, I say it was the walk.
And I say a mind is a terrible thing to waste. You really don't want all your thoughts to disappear, or even just be "neutralized" -- you want them to be better. Right?
