One unfortunate thing I've noticed in my life is people denying themselves joy. I think we've all likely done this at one point or another. But it seems that more and more over the years, I've noticed some of my older friends seemingly intentionally getting in the way of their joy. Perhaps sometimes we feel like we don't deserve to be joyous. Perhaps other times, we don't believe that whatever is bringing us joy should bring us joy. I like the sentiment of this post. "Don't hesitate". I'll try to practice that more.
